PAMUKKALE , TURKEY



Pamukkale, meaning "cotton fortress" in Turkish, is a natural site in Denizli Province in southwestern Turkey, located in the Aegean region of Turkey, in the River Menderes valley, which has a mild climate for most of the year.







It is also called as white castle or it's because of the whiteness of the environment due to the high concentration of calcite in the water. Sediment deposition of travertine rock produces white terraces, petrified waterfalls and mineral forests that make up the landscape around it.







It have a 17 hot springs here are heated by underground volcanoes. It is also a spa area for thousands of years medicated and attracts visitors from all over the world.
